The Seven Causes of Aging

These causes were delineated by Aubrey de Grey, Cambridge University

  1. Cell loss and cell atrophy
  2. Accumulation of cells
  3. Nuclear mutations of nuclear DNA (cancer)
  4. Mitochondria mutations, Mitochondria DNA mutations
  5. Intracellular junk buildup
  6. Extracellular junk buildup
  7. Extracellular processes, protein build up and chemical reactions that are outside cells. Artery rigidity

The longest living human ever documented was Jeanne Calment who died in southern France in 1997 at age 122. (21 February 1875 – 4 August 1997) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeanne_Calment

Little Self-Help Experiment

Here is a little experiment for anyone to do. Seeing as Jeanne Calment lived to 122 years and 164 days, take your birthday and calculate the year and day 122 years and 165 days from that day, and mark that on your cell phone or computer calendar. That is the day when you will have outlived Jeanne Calment by one day and thus, enter the record books as having become the longest living human alive, or dead for that matter.

To give yourself a little Pep-Talk, see this link for the 10 oldest Women and 10 oldest Men.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldest_people

Notice that the 10 oldest women all out rank the 10 oldest men. Just saying. So, us men well, we have our work cut out for us as one woman outlived the oldest man by 6 years and 110 days, or so the statistics appear to show. Don't say that 122 is unrealistic for men just because it has not happened yet, as that remains to be seen. Looks like us men should start learning some Wellness strategies. Maybe have a look at WellnessRISKManagement.com although it does NOT claim to give you any records. If just helps people help themselves.
